Popsmith DTC Ecommerce Content and Shopify Messaging Support

Industry: Consumer Products and Kitchenware
Engagement: Agency Project
Role: SEO Content Copywriter and Content Strategist

popsmith

Project Context

Popsmith is a direct-to-consumer consumer brand offering premium popcorn makers, ingredients, accessories and product bundles. The website needed to communicate the quality of the products while making the shopping experience simple, persuasive and easy to navigate.

The Challenge

The content needed to do more than describe product specifications. It had to help customers understand what made the products different, how they worked, which option best suited their needs and why the brand was worth trusting.

The migration also required content to fit the new ecommerce structure without losing clarity, brand consistency or customer intent.

Project Objective

The objective was to create a clearer, benefit-focused website experience that connected product features with practical customer outcomes and guided visitors confidently toward purchase decisions.

My Approach

I began by reviewing the existing content, proposed website structure and intended customer journey. I considered the purpose of each page, the information customers needed at every stage and how the content could support both organic visibility and conversion.

I then mapped relevant content into the new structure, identified areas requiring clarification or rewriting and organised the messaging around product benefits, differentiation, trust and ease of use.

What I Delivered

I supported the development and migration of customer-facing ecommerce content, refined product and benefit messaging, improved page readability and maintained consistency across the website. I also applied SEO content principles, strengthened headings and calls to action, prepared content for implementation and reviewed staged pages for accuracy.

Throughout the project, I collaborated with agency and technical stakeholders to ensure the approved copy worked effectively within the new website design.

Outcome

The work supported a clearer and more cohesive ecommerce experience, with stronger alignment between product information, customer needs and purchase decisions.

Shopify and DTC Content Architecture. Confidential Consumer Brand Engagements

Industry: Consumer Products and Direct-to-Consumer Ecommerce
Platform: Shopify
Role: SEO Content and Marketing Specialist

Project Context

Through agency engagements, I supported Shopify and DTC brands undergoing website migration, restructuring and content optimisation. These projects involved moving content into new website environments while improving how the brands communicated their products and value.

The Challenge

Content migration is not simply a process of copying text from one platform to another. Existing pages may contain outdated messaging, duplicated information, weak headings, inconsistent calls to action or content that no longer fits the new customer journey.

The challenge was to preserve valuable content and search intent while ensuring that the new website felt clear, consistent and commercially focused.

Project Objective

The objective was to help each brand enter its new Shopify environment with organised, search-informed and customer-focused content that supported product discovery, brand credibility and conversion.

My Approach

I started with a structured content audit to understand the purpose, quality and relevance of the existing pages. I then mapped the content into the proposed Shopify structure and determined what should be retained, rewritten, consolidated or removed.

During the rewriting stage, I strengthened the messaging hierarchy, aligned content with customer search intent and ensured that product features were translated into clear customer benefits.

I also reviewed headings, metadata opportunities, internal links, calls to action and brand-voice consistency before preparing the content for implementation.

What I Delivered

My work included homepage and supporting-page copy, About-page content, product and collection messaging, educational content, SEO-focused headings, metadata recommendations, calls to action and content-mapping documents.

I collaborated with account, design and development teams and conducted pre-launch quality assurance to identify missing content, formatting problems, implementation errors and inconsistencies between approved and published copy.

Outcome

The projects helped brands migrate into Shopify with clearer messaging, stronger content organisation and better alignment between search intent, brand positioning and the customer journey

Joyous Marketplace Ecommerce Content Marketing Manager

Industry: Ecommerce and Online Marketplace
Role: Website Content Marketing Strategist

joyous 1

Project Context

Joyous Marketplace required customer-facing content that could explain its marketplace offering, organise product information and make the ecommerce experience easier for visitors to understand.

The Challenge

Marketplace websites often contain multiple product categories, sellers and customer pathways. Without a clear content structure, visitors may struggle to understand the platform, navigate available products or recognise why they should complete a purchase.

The existing content needed to be reorganised and adapted to support a more intuitive customer journey.

Project Objective

The objective was to create a more organised ecommerce content experience that helped customers understand the marketplace, navigate product categories and move confidently toward purchase decisions.

My Approach

I reviewed the available content and website structure to understand how information was presented across key pages. I identified areas where messaging could be simplified, consolidated or better aligned with the needs of marketplace customers.

I then supported the restructuring and migration of the content, focusing on clearer product communication, improved page flow, stronger calls to action and consistency across the website.

What I Delivered

My contribution included ecommerce website copy, product and category messaging, page restructuring, content migration, customer-focused language, calls to action and website quality assurance.

I also reviewed the implemented content to identify missing information, inconsistencies and areas that could create friction in the customer journey.

Outcome

The project supported a clearer, more organised and customer-focused marketplace experience, improving how visitors understood the platform and navigated toward relevant products.

BidLight: Translating Technical Capabilities Into Clear Commercial Messaging

Industry: Technology and Digital Solutions
Role: Brand and Website Messaging Strategist

bidlight 4

Project Context

BidLight offered technical and digital solutions that needed to be communicated to prospective customers in clear, commercially relevant language.

The company had strong capabilities, but those capabilities needed to be presented in a way that connected directly with customer problems and business priorities.

The Challenge

Technical organisations often describe what they build without clearly explaining why it matters to the customer. The website needed to answer three immediate questions:

What does BidLight provide? Who is it designed for? What business outcome can the customer expect?

Project Objective

The objective was to develop a clearer website narrative that positioned BidLight effectively, simplified its technical offering and connected its capabilities with meaningful customer outcomes.

My Approach

I began by reviewing the company’s services, target audience, internal terminology and commercial priorities. I identified the central value proposition and organised the website messaging around the customer problems BidLight was positioned to solve.

Rather than leading with technical features, I translated those features into practical benefits and business outcomes. I then developed a messaging hierarchy that moved visitors from understanding the company to recognising its value and taking the next step.

What I Delivered

I developed core brand messaging, homepage positioning, value propositions, supporting-page content and conversion-focused calls to action. I also improved the website-content structure and aligned the messaging with broader sales, content and marketing priorities.

My work required close technical interpretation and collaboration to ensure that complex capabilities remained accurate while becoming easier for prospective customers to understand.

Outcome

The resulting messaging created a clearer connection between BidLight’s technical capabilities and the value customers could expect. The work formed part of broader brand positioning, content and marketing initiatives connected to more than $10.2 million in annual revenue.
